So, who do you think shined on “DWTS” last night? September 23, 2008

Rather than watch my Metsies continue their downward spiral into “honey do” season and blow another game by giving up a grand slam to the opposing pitcher, I checked out “Dancing With The Stars” last night, and I have to say, it was quite a show!

TV Guide has a poll as to who they think is going to walk away(or should we say, “Dance Away?!”) with the trophy so to speak…they say it’s going to be Misty May Traenor, and yes, she looked good, but I liked Lance Bass, and I also think Susan Lucci looked good too!

Who was your fave?

Why I LOVE my Magic Listeners! September 12, 2008

Just a BIG thank you to all “my” Magic listeners, who always make the day special!   You know who you are…the ones who call just to say “hello” (like Bob who works in Edison), or the ones who email me funny jokes(thank you, Ms. Jana), and even YOU, who call and make requests during the Magic Internet Cafe(way too many to mention by name, but you know who you are!)

Over the years, I’ve met so many people who have come up to me at events, said hello, mentioned things that I’ve said or done on the air, and you have no idea how much that makes my day and puts a smile on my face.

Being in the studio, you can’t “see” who you’re talking to, so when you come up and introduce yourself, it’s so great, because then I get to put a “face” to the “voice.”

THANK YOU!   I couldn’t do my job without each and every one of you, so I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a great weekend, and thanks for being the BEST listeners in the world!

Rainy day stuff to do September 9, 2008

Just ran and looked out the window, and it appeared as if it was 6pm, as opposed to lunch time!   Made me wish I was home, with some junk food, watching guilty pleasure movies, acting like I don’t have a care in the world!

If you didn’t have to be at work, what would you be doing on a day like this?

Let me know!

Thanks…and stay dry!

Do you TRUST your mate??! September 8, 2008

Was reading about a new survey from AOL/Woman’s Day Magazine, and was blown away by this little tidbit of information!

A whopping 67% of women say they trust Oprah or actor Tom Hanks MORE than their husbands or family members!

It gets better…these women also say they check their husband’s emails and cell phone calls to see who they’re in touch with!

75% of moms and dads admit to checking on thier kids emails too.

To be honest, I never check my husband’s emails, or look at his cellphone.   I really do trust the guy!   He has his faults, but one of them is not dishonesty!   I guess because I don’t do it, I never thought anyone else did!  (A little naive on my part, I guess)

So…my Magic listeners…fess up:   Are you one of the 67% who check things out when it comes to your spouse/significant other?

Let me know!

Email me:   debbiem@magic983.com!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

And I’m not talking “Montana” either!

Can you believe the weather forecast for this weekend?  Heavy rain(up to 5 inches worth!), wind gusts of over 40 mph, etc…thanks Mother Nature!

Unreal!

I was supposed to be heading off to Shea to catch my Metsies play Philly…you know THAT’S not happening now!

I asked YOU today if the rain was ruining your plans, and lots of Magic listeners checked in, including Cindy from Plainsboro who said she had been planning her birthday party for the past two months, with 60 people coming from all over the place, and it was going to be in her mom’s backyard, because she had a pool!

Guess Cindy won’t be needing the pool afterall, huh?

Erin from Spotswood said she was supposed to go camping, and she’s still going to go, but hold the tent for dear life.

Did the rainy weather put a “kabosh” on your weekend?

Either way, try to have fun, and we’ll touch base on Monday during the workday!

Is this a fashion don’t?    I have to ask!   I was getting dressed this morning, and almost put on the white jeans, but then I thought about it, and didn’t do it.   I got into work, and several people that work here were wearing…you guessed it…white pants!

So…do you abide by the “white pants rule” or not?

Please weigh in on the topic!   Email me or respond to the blog:   debbiem@magic983.com

Help me get dressed tomorrow!

How was YOUR summer? September 2, 2008

It’s that time of year!   Kids heading back to school, we’re adjusting to new routines(getting up earlier, getting out on the road earlier, days getting shorter, etc) and the “unofficial” end to Summer ‘08.

What I want to know is:   How was YOUR summer?    What did you do?   Any good trips you took?  Any funny mishaps?   Did you see your favorite artist in concert?   What was your favorite summer song?

If you asked me, I would have to say all the shows I went to see(John Mayer, Maroon 5, Project Revolution with Chris Cornell,  Sheryl Crow, Allman Brothers, etc) but my favorite moment this past summer came late last week, when I got to throw out the first pitch at the Somerset Patriots game during Magic’s “Family Fun Night.”   What a blast!   It’s always been a dream of mine to do that, and when they asked me, I was a little nervous, but I knew I could do it, so I said yes.   Thanks to my Grandfather for teaching me all about baseball, and most of all, how NOT to throw “like a girl!”   I made a great throw, so much so that the catcher said “you go girl!”   Made me happy.

Email me your favorite memories from this past summer, either by replying to the blog, OR, you can email me, debbiem@magic983.com!

Thanks for reading, and hope to hear from you!
