Check this email out a friend sent to me…okay ladies, are any of these words in your vocabulary?!
I happen to be partial to “Whatever” although I never thought it meant THAT!

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will bring on a ‘whatever’).
(8) Whatever: Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!
(9) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to # 3.
“Miracle on the Hudson” January 16, 2009

Hello again my fantastic Magic listeners!
So…what did YOU think about the story yesterday of the plane that landed in the Hudson river?
I was in my car, driving to meet up with my Mom, when my friend Theresa called to alert me about what was happening.
I immediately started listening to the news, and when I arrived at my parents house, they were already glued to the TV.
I couldn’t believe this wonderful pilot made an emergency landing on the water, and spared all 155 passengers!
After reading all about him in the papers today, and hearing his name, Chesley Sullenberger, I couldn’t help but think what must be going through his mind 24 hours later.
After digesting the story, and the happy outcome, I have to say this “miracle” left me with a feeling of hope and happiness, something I think a lot of us have forgotten about lately. If 155 people can make it out alive and this wonderful pilot can land a plane on the Hudson, surely this has to be a sign that things are going to slowly get better for all of us in 2009! Let’s keep that “hope” alive in our minds and hearts.

Hey there, just wanted to pass along some info for all my “feline friends” that listen to Magic.
There’s a great new book by Dr. Justine Lee called “It’s a Cat’s World, You Just Live In It.” The book was just released, and the reason I wanted to tell you about it was not only is it a funny yet insightful look at why cats do what they do, but Justine is from our ‘hood! She grew up in East Brunswick!
I just got a chance to talk to her, she’s been a vet for 11 years, and has 2 cats and a dog. She’s also got a book for dog lovers too!
Check the book out, and visit her website at drjustinelee.com
She’s great, the book is awesome, and if you’re a pet lover, you’ll really enjoy it.
As always, you can email or reply to the blog if you have questions, debbiem@magic983.com .
