Getting your kids to eat “the good stuff!” March 3, 2009

So, according to new research, if you give vegetables “cool names” your kids will be more inclined to eat them.
I was telling this to Magic Morning Guy Chris McCoy, and he agreed, saying he used to put ketchup on his kids veggies and they would gobble them up!
So, not having kids myself, I figured I’d pose the question to YOU, my Magic listener and friend, how do you get your kids to eat “the good stuff?”

Thanks for reading, and of course, for listening!

I agree, my kids will eat anything with ketchup! i actually find my 2 yr old just spooning the ketchup in her mouth! arghh. i guess if it gets her to eat her veggies its ok???
Giving the cool names for the veggies works for my 4 year old nephew like Ms. Carrie Top, Mr. Tommy Mato and Mr. Carl Cucumber , he will actually make up stories about them right before he eats them. Everytime we go out for dinner and I order vegetables he separates them and calls them different names. He enjoys the nicknames and the stories.
